Will Apple’s Next Move Secure NFC’s Future?

For a long time, the biggest obstacle to NFC’s worldwide acceptance by business and individuals was Apple’s reluctance to use the technology in its extremely popular devices. Now, it seems like the company is planning to have NFC wallets in the next generation of the phones, which are said to be releasing in June. In fact, this article says that Apple is rumored to be including fingerprint sensor chips in the phones as well, in an effort ton increase password and transaction security.
Obviously, we’re very excited by the news. It would be great if Apple got on board with NFC and pushed it as hard as Google is doing. There will be no doubt then about the practical uses that NFC will be put to, given the ubiquity of Apple devices like the iPhone and the iPad.
